SWWAT was created in 2008 by local riders who, like most adventure seekers, love the outdoors. We have a vision to create a safe and fun outdoor experience for everyone. We created this club as a group of friend's that enjoy all facets of off-roading.

Winter Work Party (Jones Creek) - Feb 1st or 8th
Prep for Open Season (Jones Creek) - April 25th
Closing Work Party (Jones Creek) - November 14th
Bradley Trails Work Party - March 7th
Winter Clean-up (Mitchell Peak/Siouxon Trail) - May 16th
Great Gravel Pack in (Tarbell) - April 18th
3 Corner Rock winter clean-up on June 6th to celebrate National Trails Day, or June 13th.
*** Alternate idea for NTD: Partner with WTA and MSHI on Tarbell/Silver Star loop this was an idea from last year but the snow inhibited.

Merrill Lake - Winter Clean-up/Open prep March 14
Tunerville - work party May 9th
Snag and Western - winter clean-up/prep for fishing season April 4th
Rock Creek - work party to prepare for summer
Cold Creek Camp/DUA - work party to prepare for summerr
Dougan Camp/DUA - work party to prepare for summer

Volunteer Appreciation Events - February 7th or 13th?
Pick up the Burn - September 26th to celebrate National Public Lands Day

Other Dates and Events to consider:
  • International Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day: October 3rd: Can work with PUMP/IMBA and CCMB to host something like this? Maybe a beginners biking clinic?

  • Washington State Arbor Day: April 8th: Can work with foresters to do an educational program and planting activty with young students?

  • National Arbor Day: April 24th

  • National Volunteer Week: April 19th-25th Campground Work Party?

  • Family Volunteer Day: November 21st Campground Work Party?

  • Make A Difference Day: October 24th Campground Work Party?


Other ideas for national volunteer week, family volunteer day, and make a difference day: litter clean-ups, noxious weed pulls,(with educational component about native vegetation- maybe work with National Areas Managers to see if they need any help in their areas?)
